The Public Interest Section of the American Accounting Association
and the Academy of Accounting Historians invite accounting faculty
and doctoral students to submit papers for presentation at a jointly
sponsored conference.
Papers appropriate for this conference are those which relate to public
interest topics, accounting history topics or both areas of scholarship.
Sample themes may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Accounting ethics vis-à-vis professional ethics
• Public interest/policy aspects of regulation: Sarbanes-
Oxley, Tax Laws, SEC Rules, Auditing Standards etc.
