being
on the
boat
from
Monday
night
until
thursday
morning
. the
steam
pipe
bursted
and
caused
a
great
deal
of
alarm
.
we
drifted
towe
miles
down
the
river
.
I
writ
and
tell
you
I
am
well
expecting
you
would
uneasy
.
our
boat
stoped
at
Baton
rouge
our
friend
,
Mr
.
Hatch
came
on
board
and was
very
glad
to
see
me
an

was
well
.
I
went
down
street
to
day
but
could
not
find
Uncle
Tom
.
I
will
commence
going
to
school
on
Monday
