Your letter of the 8th
inst, came to hand just in time. In
time for what you ask. I answer, in time
to prevent me from replying to yours of the 3rd.
Such a letter, from you, to me, is un-
worthy of its author. You were not half
so severely shocked, when you heard that
I was to be married on the 25th of this
month, as I was, on pursuing the con-
tents of your letter, I intended writing
you one in reply, praying in your
own coin, with interest; - but for once
in my life, I will endeavor to return good for
