Your letter dated April
5th was recieved four days ago."
I have not had an opportunity to
write any for the last two weeks. Just
two weeks ago we were ordered to pre-
pare four days rations and to take
nothing but a blanket. I thought we
would be gone 4 or 5 days, and return
so did not bring even a change
of clothing with me, Two weeks have
passed, and I have not had a change
We sent our boy back to Camp (25
ms) tho. and this evening I will
have some clean clothes. Such is
War life and yet a man can-
not honorably extricate himself
from the net, I received a letter
from Mary the day after yours
