Your letter of 20th April was
recieved this morning. I regret to hear that
your mill has been idle so long. We have a
rumor in Camp that the Yankees made
a Cavalry raid down the M&O RR to En-
terprise, and also that they went to
Louisville. I think the former is certainly
a mistake.- the latter I am incline to
credit. If they have been to Enterprise
I would not be surprised to hear that
they paid you a visit, and if they did
I know they burned the mill to the ground."
I will not anticipate misfortunes tho. for
they come upon us soon enough, I ap-
pricate your views on the subject of sub-
stitution. I hardly know what course
to pursue in the matter. Of one thing I
am certain, and that is that I can -
