Your letter has lain a much longer time unnswered [sic] than I intended it should.
I thought I knew something of Father�s will but I find by your letter that it is not as I supposed.
It gives us 4 brothers more than I expected or wished.---Now I will not make [illegible word] comments on my (our) Fathers will. I will only say that all that is willed to me is yours.
You have more than earned the whole property and ought to have it.
I will give you a deed if the land when the estate is settled, and a bill of sale of all other things coming to me.)
