Dear Sister-"
I am really mortified that you have waited so long for a letter from me and when in reading your letter I came to [claim] �I hope you have adhered to your resolution to keep quiet� my conscience hurt me as that is the very thing you know I have not done. I declare I sometimes think I am nearly a fool but the amount of work that had accumulated for me to cut and prepare obliged me to keep up and I have broken down two or three times but now I am up and all right. I have a seamstress and Mary & Lizzie assist me a great deal. I have got them fitted up very nicely for the winter. Lucy has so much always to do for herself that she does not help me
