Your letter reached in the course of events having traveled over a large portion of the United States and a portion of the Southern Confederacy but I that �better late than never� is a good motto to apply to letters &c for the news kept very well in fact was perfectly fresh when it reached me. not quite so thrilling and interesting perhaps as a portion of that your favored Emma with before. I was anxious to hear further particulars, please enlighten me on all points of Chicopee gossip.
