Dear Sister- )
This is the last letter I shall probably write you this year as this will reach you on New Years Eve. I endeavor not to look backward & review this miserable year commencing in pain and ending in sorrow. I will stop this sad vein right here and attend to business. You will find enclosed P.O. order for $15.00 4.50 of which goes for the glasses $7.50 for [Lottas] interest & some time when you go to Springfield send three more skeins of blk Saxony & two of dark red or any pretty dark that you think will combine for a cape. you understand from Carrias what is needed. we would have preferred a darker shade but there was none here. Mary also wants 4 prs of heavy nice blk stockings is willing to pay 50 cts a pr if necessary, no fleece lined but )
