Dear Wife it is with a degree of pleasure that I write you but have sad news to import Wm J Harris died this morning and was buried this evening very neatly I am almost werried out from setting up with him I have sat up for half of every night for ten nights but I never werried in spirit he has ever been kind to all of us but know what a good boy he was at home )
We leave this camp tomorrow at 6 o,clock to join our regiment on the Patomac the left us three days ago but have sent back after
