I received your letter of the 24th last week and the one containing my circular, last Sunday. I was very much grieved to hear of the sufferings you endured, during that extremely cold weather; but hope that now the weather has turned warmer, that all will be well. I have received one letter from Pa, he was at Middleton then: the rail-road will be completed this week, and I expect, he will be at home by Saturday. I take particular care not to expose myself any more than is necessary. I always wear my overshoes when it is muddy and my overcoat when it rains. My health has continued good, up to the present although I woke up this morning with one of my eyes sore. it is
