present opportunity of writing
you a line knowing that you would
like to hear from me I have received
the letter that you sent by Dick
Leigh ) I was very glad to hear from
you but was verry sorry to hear
that you was sick but am in hopes
that these few lines will find
you well. I am very glad that the
Children are going to school and that
they are so well pleased with their
teacher I am in hope They will be
fast ) I am very much pleased with
my jacket you sent me it fits
me very well I am very glad that
it is so light it will not be so
much wait to carry on a march. we
have had orders to send our extry
bagage to the rear me and cosin Jimme
