JOHN A. WILSON JOINED THE STAFF of George A. Touche & Co. (now Touche, Ross, Bailey & Smart) Canada in 1928; became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 1933 and was made a partner in 1943. He has been active in Institute affairs as president of the Ontario Institute in 1950, and currently as president of The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr. Wilson represented The Canadian Institute at the Golden Jubilee of the New Zealand Association of Accountants in the spring of 1960; also at the Asian and Pacific Conference of Accounting held in Australia, April 1960. He delivered two papers there, one on Independence in Public Practice and the other on Punched Card and Electronic Data Processing. He also had the honor of speaking not only on behalf of the Canadian Institute but on behalf of the accounting delegates from other countries. He served as Governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation, an organization sponsored by The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Bar Association and was Chairman of the Board of Governors in 1956. Mr. Wilson is chairman of the International Committee of TROBAS.
