BOSTON
Hugh Dysart, Jr., has been appointed
to serve a three-year term on the Board
of Managers of the Society of the Sons
of the American Revolution.
Marking the holiday season, the
Boston Office staff held its Christmas
party at the Algonquin Club on Decem-ber
21. Staff members and their wives
were guests at the party.
CHICAGO
The Swedish Club of Chicago was the
scene of the annual Christmas dinner
party for the girls of this office on the
Thursday before Christmas.
CLEVELAND
The annual office fete for the mem-bers
of the Cleveland Office was held
at the Canterbury Country Club, where
husbands and wives enjoyed an evening
of dinner and entertainment.
DAYTON
A gala evening was observed by the
members of the Dayton Office on
December 21 when they met at the
Dayton Club for their annual Christmas
get-together.
DETROIT
The Detroit Office personnel was
entertained at an open house in the
office on December 27. This provided a
good opportunity for renewing old
acquaintances and meeting the new
people on the staff, as well as their
husbands and wives.
An amateur thespian of considerable
talent, Curtis Verschoor turned in a dis-tinguished
performance in the Clawson
Player's recent community play entitled
"Jenny Kissed Me."
Donald J. Bevis has been appointed
Chairman of the important Quota Study
Committee of the Michigan United Fund.
This appointive group devises the method
by which funds are allocated geo-graphically.
Mr. Bevis was invited by Governor G.
Mennen Williams to participate in a
special hearing on January 15 at Lansing
for the purpose of discussing the 1957-58
fiscal year budget requests of Michigan's
institutions of higher learning. The nine
state supported universities and colleges
presented their program of needs before
representatives of business, industry, and
education.
The girls of the Detroit Office held
their annual Christmas party this year
with a dinner-theater party. After dining
at the Statler Hotel, they saw "The Ten
Commandments."
