We have pleasure in announcing the
appointment of Messrs. R. C. Morrow
and R. L. Reamy as assistant managers
of our Baltimore office, effective June 1,
1928.
It is with deep regret that we announce
the death of Mr. Francis P. Draine, of the
Chicago office staff. Mr. Draine was seriously
injured on May 18 while en route
from Jasper, Georgia, to Canton, Georgia,
on an engagement, when the bus in which
he was traveling overturned, and he died
the following day.
Mr. Draine's sterling character and
loyalty to the firm were evidenced by the
fact that, although seriously injured, he
advised the Chicago office and the accountant
in charge of the engagement of the
accident by telegrams and asked that his
relatives be not informed of it at the time.
Moreover, he discussed with Mr. Kerr, of
our Atlanta office, who was sent to look
after him, the matter of the engagement
on which he was working. Such attributes
of character and loyalty are inspiring
to us all.
Effective June 1, 1928, our Paris office
will be located in the Equitable Trust
Company Building, 39 Rue Cambon.
Mr. Wildman addressed the North
Carolina Association of Certified Public
Accountants, at the University of North
Carolina, Chapel Hill, on May 11, on
"Accountants' Certificates."
Mr. Gause recently received the C. P. A.
certificate of the State of New York.
