GPA EXAMINATION/MAY 1965
The Firm extends hearty congratulations
to more than 80 members of the
staff who successfully completed the
CPA Examination in May 1965. And
we are proud to report that Richard L.
Hunt won Honorable Mention in competition
for the American Institute's
Elijah Watt Sells Awards; John E. Kess-ler
received this distinction in the November
1964 examination, along with
two others already named in our last
issue. Dick Hunt sat for the examination
while he was still in college. He
joined our Los Angeles staff in June,
when he graduated from Loyola University
(L.A.) with a BBA degree. John
Kessler spent the summer of 1963 in
our Dallas Office after graduating with
high honors from the University of Illinois.
He returned to Urbana for graduate
work, held a teaching assistantship
under Professor C. A. Moyer, and came
to our Chicago Office with an MAS degree
this June.
The Haskins 6- Sells CPA Examination
Study Guide apparently continues
to improve substantially a candidate's
chances of success. For 12 weeks before
the examination it helps him to devote
18 hours a week to systematic preparation,
guided by a study director with
whom he meets regularly and who reviews
with him his answers to practice
examinations. The course draws on the
Firm's years of experience in helping
candidates reach a peak of readiness for
passing this first and all-important milestone
in their careers.
