CPA EXAMINATION/MAY, 1963
The Firm takes pleasure in recording here the names of 76 members of the staff who successfully completed the CPA
Examination in May 1963. Fifteen of them passed all parts of the examination at first sitting. One or more parts of the
examination were taken by 385 members of the Haskins & Sells staff • Use of the Firm's CPA Examination Study
Guide again apparently improved the candidate's chances of passing. In recent years, the ratio of those who pass to
those who sit for the examination has been consistently higher for candidates who use the Guide than for those
who do not. • Michael S. Brown (Miami) and Ronald H. Kabot (Los Angeles) were among eight across the nation
who received honorable mention in competition for the American Institute's Elijah Watt Sells Award for highest
scores in the May examination. Mr. Brown won the Florida Institute's award for highest grades in that state.
