Three H&S staff accountants —Robert Howard of
Omaha, David Nosnik of Miami and Peter Orsburn
of Los Angeles —were awarded Elijah Watt Sells
certificates of honorable mention for outstanding
performance on the November 1976 Uniform
CPA Examination.
Sixty-four certificates, in addition to a gold and
a silver medal, were presented by the American
Institute of CPAs to accountants passing all four
parts of the examination with the highest grades.
Messrs. Howard, Nosnik and Orsburn were
among the 287 H&S accountants who completed
the examination in November. A total of 45,007
candidates sat for the exam, according to the
AICPA.
Bob Howard was a business administration
major at the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire,
where he graduated magna cum laude in May
1976. He joined the HckS Omaha office the follow­ing
month. Bob also won the gold medal of the
Nebraska Society of CPAs for scoring the highest
grades in that state.
Dave Nosnik joined the Miami office of HckS in
June of last year after completing the MBA program
at Northwestern University. Dave was born and
reared in Mexico City, attended the Universidad
Iberoamericana there, and graduated with a BS in
accounting after receiving the Price Waterhouse
award for having the highest grades in accounting.
He earned his CPA certificate in Mexico before
coming to the United States to attend North­western
University.
Peter Orsburn joined our Los Angeles office last
December. After receiving a BS degree with honors
in math from the California Institute of Technology
in 1968, Peter worked as an associate computing
analyst for his alma mater, traveled extensively in
Spain and the American southwest, studied
accounting and worked for his father as an
accountant.
