About this collection
After working in various congressional offices for twenty years, Felton M. Johnston attained the highest administrative position in the U.S. Senate, serving as Secretary of the Senate from 1955 to 1965. After his retirement, President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed him to the American Battle Monuments Commission.
