Grenada Dec 7 186(1)"
I have just now had time to rite you a few lines to let you know how we are getting along. We have just got thro our election for Ridgmental officers. I think we have a splendid set of officers. Capt. Duncan is our Major and in a few days we will have to elect a captain and I expect to give the boys a chance for that office. I think from presant indications that my chances are good to be Capt. of the Ida Invisibles. There has nothing of importance transpired in our company since we left. We are all well but Wm. Phillips. He was pretty sick yesterday. But tuck a dose of pills last night and is better today. Rite to me the first opportunity and let me now if you are all well and if all is going right. The waggon has just come to move us to the camp and I must close. I will right again in a few days." Sow farewell for the present. Kiss the children all for me and let Sam kiss you for me."
T. G. Clark.
