Dear Wife,"
I have not receive a single letter from you since I left and this is the fourth one that I have written to you since I have been here but you need not write to me any more untill you hear from me for I do not now where we will stop but when we do I will write to you as soon as I can. I have nothing of importance to write to you only that me and the boys are well and have been ever since we left home." It is now 9 o'clock and we just received orders to pack up and be ready to start at 8 o'clock tomorrow and we have to cook three days rations for the trip sow we will start from here tomorrow and I supose that we will gow to Union Citty." I have nothing more at presant that I can think of for there is a gradil of confusion in camps tonight and I do not expect to sleep any tonight sow fare-well for the presant and do not forget to pray for us for God only nows whether we will ever see each other again or not." But we will hope for the better."
